USA Archery classes may have prerequisites and/or time requirements. These are estimated times and may be exceeded as necessary.
To qualify as a USA Archery Level 1 Instructor the candidate needs to be at least fifteen years of age and successfully pass a USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Class. There is no prior experience necessary. This certification needs to be renewed every three years, and doesn’t require the retaking of the class. Note … a USA Archery Level 1 Instructor is the trainer for the BSA Archery Range Master.
No prior archery experience is necessary but is very helpful. This certification will substitute for the BSA Archery Range Master course and allow you to open an archery range at council camps. This will also allow you train other Scouters for their BSA Archery Range Masters card. The USA Archery certification is valid for three years and can be renewed without retaking the class again.
Experienced intermediate level archery people may attend. Successful completion of this course enables you to train and certify USA Archery Basic Instructors. These workshops are scheduled as needed.
